Ezora is looking for an execution-focused Backend Software Development Engineer Intern to help expand our core engineering team. This role is designed for engineers with strong systems fundamentals who have already built and shipped software used by real end-users.
You will work directly on mission-critical integrations, production data pipelines, and AI-driven workflows that interface with external ecosystems. This is a high-ownership role suited for developers who thrive in brownfield environments, move fast, and prioritize reliable, working software over theoretical exercises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipelines and AI Workflows:
- Design, deploy, and maintain data pipelines that reliably transform, sync, and transport data across internal backend services and third-party systems.
- Build and operate end-to-end integrations with external APIs and services, including CRMs, call-analysis engines, WhatsApp tooling, and analytics platforms.
- Implement and maintain backend workflows supporting AI-driven operations.
- Backend Engineering and Automation:
- Build new standalone microservices and backend modules from scratch as product requirements expand.
- Maintain and enhance existing production codebases, shipping reliable updates and features on a weekly release cycle.
- Write clean, idiomatic Python for automation, data processing, and API design.
- System Reliability and Documentation:
- Debug and resolve production issues across services and integrations, including code you did not write.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and API specifications to ensure modularity, scalability, and seamless handoffs across the team.
What We Offer:
- Conversion Pathway: High-performing interns will be considered for a full-time SDE role based on performance and impact during the internship.
- Remote Flexibility: 100% remote working setup.
- High-Impact Work: Direct ownership of production-grade infrastructure powering AI workflows at scale.
